The QuickLINK® XF Universal Adapter (Mating Sleeve) is designed
to unite fiberoptic connectors, cable assemblies and jumper cables with
different ferrules (1.25mm and 2.5mm ferrules) together for test and
measurement, emergency restoration and experimental purposes.
The
patented universal interface allows the flexibility to mate various types of
connectors with 2.5mm and 1.25mm ferrules regardless of the outer housing for
quick or long term connections. The Selective Retention (SR) feature
incorporates an adjustable LiteLOCK® dial on each end which allows the
user, if required, to increase the tension around the ferrules to secure the
two mated connectors together. To use, simply insert the appropriate ferrule
size (1.25mm or 2.5mm) of the connector into the QuickLINK® XF. The smaller
diameter side of the adaptor accepts the 1.25mm ferrules. If you would like to
secure the connectors in place, rotate the LiteLOCK® dials on each end of
the adaptor clockwise (to the right). To remove the connectors, simply rotate
the LiteLOCK® dials counter clockwise (to the left) and pull the connectors
out. |
